Welcome to Sherlock Holmes Indonesia

Finally! The long-awaited re-launch of Sherlock Holmes Indonesia (SHI) and the revival again of the website due to past technical constraints where I as the webmaster couldn't maintain the website like I should be. Thank you for several parties who encourage me to take a step forward and brave myself to build the society. You guys are my inspirations and motivators. Several new updates could be found here including Sherlock Holmes at the media (one of them is, Sherlock Hemlock from Sesame Street.)

My another side-project regarding Sherlock Holmes is Holmes' Side Diary (you could find the link at the menu though.) I made it out from the idea of Sherlock Holmes blogging at the Internet in which the detective is quite 'unlike' himself where some hilarities may ensue. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did :)

Calling all Indonesia Sherlockians!

Thanks to Arya who appointed me directly as 'The President' in which I couldn't protesting anymore (and unfortunately, he was right. "Come on, I always know that you want to conquer the world. Heh.") I am calling all Sherlockians in Indonesia to gather and meet in Sherlock Holmes Indonesia Society (SHIS).

One Sherlockian that I know told me that 'in order to make a society, you didn't have to fight for blood and tears. It's even could comprised with two Sherlockians who have tea together and discuss about Sherlock Holmes.' Well, our current situation now is that those two Sherlockians that have tea together are only Arya and me in which I could say it was quite a sad, pathetic, pitiful image to imagine :P

So if you are claiming yourself as Sherlockian and looking for society here in Indonesia, come and join us. In 'Sherlockian Lair' section you could see Sherlockian works such as fanart or fanfiction (pastiche) and list of other Sherlockians in Indonesia. I'm thinking of having Sherlockian competition regarding this though, so stay tuned.

How to Join?

First of all, you DON'T HAVE to:

  • Understand classical music in order to become a Sherlockian just because Holmes is a classical music-lover.
  • Able to play violin just because it is Holmes' expertise.
  • Able to memorize all Holmes' lines and say it only in one single breath. While actually if you could do that, that would be such a helluva great though.

All you have to do is that you know a guy named Holmes and his fellow friend, Dr. Watson who lives at 221B Baker Street, London and you are looking for a society to meet and talk about Sherlock Holmes.
